The idea for Mills Chiropractic first started when Founder, Dr. Gene Mills, felt called to create a clinic that felt like coming home. He wanted to provide his practice members with a space to not only receive comprehensive, personalized, and exceptional chiropractic care, but also a welcoming and family friendly experience that leaves you feeling encouraged to live a better life; with movement, integration, and exceptional health.
With support and encouragement from Dr. Mills, Dr. Madeline went searching for the perfect home for the new location of Mills Chiropractic. After finding the perfect space at the Farms, months of contruction she is thrilled to welcome to community to building generational wellness with Mills Chiropractic.
We can’t wait for you to be part of our story.
Wondering how it works?
our process
After scheduling your first visit with us, you should receive a text message reminder of the date and time of your appointment! When you come in, you’ll get to meet Hannah. Hannah is our office manager and will make sure you are shown around the office and settled in. When the doctor comes out to get you, we will do a thorough health history as well as a physical exam behind closed doors. If the doctor’s find that X-Rays are medically necessary for your case, these will be taken on the first visit as well! Both doctors in office will generally adjust on the first visit if there is no contraindication (reason not to). Upon leaving the appointment, Hannah will help you check out and get you booked for your ROF!
New Patient initial Visit
This is what we call our Day 2 appointment. It stands for Report of Findings! At this appointment, the doctor will bring you back and walk you through all of your exam findings and what’s going on with your body. We take this opportunity to remind you that there is way more going right with your body than what is causing dis ease at the moment. We don’t believe in telling our practice members that they’re broken, just highlighting areas with awesome potential for change. Upon this visit we will also lay out a plan of action, called your treatment plan. We never want you to feel in the dark about anything regarding your health, so this appointment is all about empowering you with the information you need to move forward to a healthier place! And, of course, we will adjust and treat at this visit!
ROF
We’ll use a couple of different terms in the clinic that may be new to you! Corrective Care is defined by a patient that is currently experiencing symptoms and/or pain from a recent or past event that is newly exacerbated. When entering Corrective Care, we create a more intensive treatment plan to make sure that we get ahead of your discomfort. In other words, we want to make sure and put the fire out. These plans tend to last 4-6 weeks on average. At Mills Chiropractic, we never want to stop at the end of Corrective Care. Wellness Care is where the lasting changes happen..
corrective care
Wellness Care is the heart and soul of our practice. We aren’t okay with merely helping our members survive, we want you to live a really full life. In Wellness Care, we take a truly holistic approach to your health and wellness. There will be exercises, breath work, body work, nutrition advice, and more. Wellness care is the place you’ll find yourself when you know it’s time to take the responsibility of your health into your own hands. We love walking along this journey with our practice members, and often, this is when our members become family. It is a lifelong journey and a way of life, realizing health and vitality is expressed through growth and motion. Our desire is that we never stop growing together.
wellness care
Absolutely not! While manual adjusting is one of the options we provide, our primary goal is to make sure your nervous system feels safe and secure while on our table. We have a wide variety of options to best serve our patient’s needs and preferences, including very gentle techniques.
Do I have to have my neck twisted and cracked to be seen here?
Absolutely! Dr. Madeline specializes in pediatric care and loves providing support for the whole family.
Do you TREAT children?
The doctors make that decision based off of your history and exam from the first visit. Not everyone needs them, but a lot of people do. We don’t like to generalize anything in our office, so each persons care can look a little bit different based off of their individual health and wellness needs!
Do you take X-rays?
The short answer is no, absolutely not. While our team believes whole-heartedly in the many benefits of preventative chiropractic care, we do not expect you to need to see us constantly forever. Our goal is not only to get you out of pain, but to help you build a life that keeps you out of pain!
Do I have to come back twice a week for the rest of my life to get better?
